Before you upgrade

I am not an expert with MySQL, but from the documentation I get that there might be a few issues with the configuration example:

• On Windows, there is a range limit for "wait_timeout" of 2147483. Hence, the example won't work in that environment.
• There is no system variable "open-files" but only one named "open-files-limit"
• There is no system variable "max_connection" but only one named "max_connections"

Furthermore, in the text are only timeouts mentioned, yet the configuration also includes settings for files and connections. Why is that? Marck 07:11, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
