[10:59] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Still no donuts?
[10:59] Vincent Sylvester: Right in front of you actually
[10:59] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: OH! I saw them right after I said that!
[11:01] Ubit Umarov: hi
[11:02] Ubit Umarov: how are you today?
[11:02] Vincent Sylvester: Wonder if Gavin might show, he seems to have been quite busy with Dayturn lately
[11:02] Vincent Sylvester: Nearly didn't make it back in time, damn lasagne taking so long to cook
[11:02] Ubit Umarov: yeah
[11:03] Vincent Sylvester: Plus side I got food in front of me now heh
[11:04] Ubit Umarov: well seems ppl do not get or read the emails
[11:04] Vincent Sylvester throws a cat at Andrew
[11:05] Vincent Sylvester: I normally don't do mailing lists so I used to look at it via nabble, but that site got shut down
[11:05] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Hehe, I remember a gun in SL that fired cows at people...
[11:07] Vincent Sylvester: Ouch, lasagne hot...
[11:07] Vincent Sylvester: Every time
[11:08] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Do we have another daylight wastings issue today?
[11:08] Vincent Sylvester: Everyone is on summer time now
[11:08] Vincent Sylvester: It's two weeks difference for some reason
[11:08] Ubit Umarov: usa things :)
[11:09] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: The stupid US Congress moved ours by 2 weeks in ... 2007 I think.
[11:09] Ubit Umarov: guess they are more glued to the solistice thing
[11:09] Vincent Sylvester: Timezones more political than scientific at this point anyways
[11:10] Vincent Sylvester: Screws with peoples inner clocks literally killing them earlier if you are unlucky
[11:11] Ubit Umarov: ....
[11:11] Ubit Umarov: yeah
[11:12] Ubit Umarov: reason why it is on sunday morning
[11:12] Ubit Umarov: even so..
[11:12] Vincent Sylvester: Lazy sunday of finding all the clocks and changing them
[11:13] Ubit Umarov: ofc that forgets that many to work on sundays
[11:13] Ubit Umarov: etc :)
[11:14] Vincent Sylvester: If you are awake during that time it really screws with your perception of time lol
[11:14] Ubit Umarov: plugh seems having problems with hg tp
[11:14] Vincent Sylvester: 17 hg visitors today according to logs so I wonder what he is trying to do
[11:15] Ubit Umarov: kay, Vin placed some cookies etc there
[11:15] Vincent Sylvester: I decorated, even put the little grabby cone on here
[11:15] Ubit Umarov: if you have health insurence better eat before others arrive and eat all
[11:17] Vincent Sylvester: I can never get donuts round here, not something you find at every corner
[11:17] Vincent Sylvester: Probably good, I already look like a planet
[11:18] Vincent Sylvester: Even pizza is difficult now, local place shut last year
[11:19] Vincent Sylvester: Lasagne all gone, now am sad
[11:20] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: Hi IT's ME
[11:20] Vincent Sylvester: An impostor lol
[11:21] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: look who is talking: [11:20:11] (Loading...): An impostor lol
[11:21] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: :p
[11:21] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Bring on the clones!
[11:22] Vincent Sylvester: I recently figured out if you go into the profile and open a group they are in their name will load
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: plugh telling hg is broken
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: so jsut tesing
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: testing..
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004: wlel i don't have exactly the release version of fs, but should be same
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004 left chat range.
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004 left draw distance.
[11:22] Ubit.Umarov @ajld.dynip.sapo.pt:9004 left the region.
[11:22] Andrew.Hellershanks @grid.kitely.com:8002 entered draw distance (44.65 m).
[11:22] Andrew.Hellershanks @grid.kitely.com:8002 entered the region (44.65 m).
[11:22] Andrew.Hellershanks @grid.kitely.com:8002 left draw distance.
[11:22] Andrew.Hellershanks @grid.kitely.com:8002 left the region.
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: possible this is a dif compile of same code
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: well plug did revert and still no tp
[11:23] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I HGed from Kitely first try. I hear a lot of people complaining about HG failing these days.
[11:23] Ubit Umarov: it is HG :(
[11:24] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: I'm on FS 6.5.3 linux version, working pretty well.
[11:24] Vincent Sylvester: Lol the simulator just immediately called close when he got here
[11:24] Vincent Sylvester: I seen that a few times now with HG, no idea why it does that
[11:24] Ubit Umarov: vodooo
[11:24] Vincent Sylvester: Generally it seems the origin is the cause, if I restart that it works fine
[11:25] Ubit Umarov: well we are here now.. bad karma to restart
[11:25] Ubit Umarov: but sadly some avatars do get stuck until restart :(
[11:27] Vincent Sylvester: Seems when it rebooted earlier voice didn't connect, hopefully Vivox didn't just shut today
[11:27] Ubit Umarov: that is pomsig farm or pornsig farm kayaker.Magic ?
[11:27] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: I finally managed to find a way to get here. Only took me a half hour of messing about. :P
[11:27] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: Family actually....
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: guess i need to increase viewer letters size again :)
[11:28] Kayaker.Magic @grid.kitely.com:8002: truncated funny...
[11:28] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Hello, everyone.
[11:28] Ubit Umarov: hi andrew.Hellershanks
[11:29] Ubit Umarov: guess not many do read the emails
[11:29] Vincent Sylvester: The minutes did get a few hits though so people... or bots... read them
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: well so .. lets talk about opensim
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: last week changes.. again not many
[11:30] Vincent Sylvester: Changes to UUID.TryParse causing quite some fun
[11:30] Ubit Umarov: a fix to a recent bug on libomv uuid parsing
[11:31] Ubit Umarov: i made the parsing ignore the string chars after the UUID digits
[11:31] Ubit Umarov: that did save few ns
[11:32] Ubit Umarov: sadly, all HG code abotu UUI did depend on fails it the ; was present after the valid digits
[11:32] Ubit Umarov: that is not a cool thing.. but all over the code, so i changed the parsing again
[11:33] Ubit Umarov: so it now only accepts spaces at start on end of the uuid string, as guid parser does
[11:33] Ubit Umarov: unlike guid parser it only accepts the 36 or 32 chars variants
[11:34] Vincent Sylvester: On the plus side it helped find some other bad code in how parsing was done
[11:34] Ubit Umarov: guid accepts a few other formats that are not even uuid spec
[11:35] Ubit Umarov: that was mantis 8936 issue
[11:35] Vincent Sylvester: Warm fuzzy feeling of everything being compatible while being a mess to parse
[11:35] Ubit Umarov: this code is still like 2x faster than guid parser
[11:35] Vincent Sylvester: Which is quite impressive
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: i made the changes to prebuild MisterBlue had done part of master
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: and add several more needed things
[11:36] Ubit Umarov: guess more still needed
[11:37] Ubit Umarov: that is for possible future .net6+ use
[11:37] Vincent Sylvester: You also made some changes to TerrainData
[11:37] Ubit Umarov: wle have more on disk :)
[11:38] Ubit Umarov: but seen that osFlushTerrain is set with los threat level
[11:38] Ubit Umarov: and can totally flood a sim
[11:38] Ubit Umarov: so now only allow it once per minute
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: in fact may just remove it
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: it is now redundant
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: but not sure
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: well depend on the changes im making
[11:39] Ubit Umarov: also changed YEngine comands
[11:40] Ubit Umarov: they will now impact only the current selected region
[11:40] Vincent Sylvester: There are a lot of functions I would push a threat level up given what they could be used for, in the past they been set very liberal in terms of their limits
[11:40] Ubit Umarov: but to a few i added the option 'allregions'
[11:41] Ubit Umarov: so with that option the comand will run on all regions in the instance
[11:41] Vincent Sylvester: Useful for debugging things for sure
[11:41] Ubit Umarov: yeng help
19:41:19 - [YEngine]: ****Region: ubittest11
19:41:19 - [YEngine]: yeng reset [allregions] | [-help ...]
19:41:19 - [YEngine]: yeng resume [allregions] - resume script processing
19:41:19 - [YEngine]: yeng suspend [allregions] - suspend script processing
[11:41] Ubit Umarov: ...
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: this was a request on mantis 8936
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: oops
[11:42] Ubit Umarov: the uuid issue was other mantis not 8936
[11:43] Ubit Umarov: 8985
[11:43] Ubit Umarov: well and guess that's all
[11:44] Vincent Sylvester: Remains to be seen if there are other places that now barf at UUIs with the parsing changes, though I doubt there are many if it all, should all be back to normal
[11:44] Vincent Sylvester: Unless that is some really broken code somewhere abusing that function
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: well that should be identical to originaç
[11:44] Ubit Umarov: guess the other guid formats are not used anywhere
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: and should not
[11:45] Vincent Sylvester: Yeah whatever is breaking now was bad to begin with
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000)
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: {0x00000000,0x0000,0x0000,{0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00}}
[11:45] Ubit Umarov: well only this other 2
[11:46] Ubit Umarov: only do parse
[11:46] Ubit Umarov: 00000000000000000000000000000000 ( 32 chars no - )
[11:46] Ubit Umarov: and
[11:47] Ubit Umarov: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 ( 36 chars )
[11:47] Ubit Umarov: think uuid spec only refers last
[11:47] Vincent Sylvester: I checked a few places that I suspected might seen UUIs they looked fine, haven't check all though
[11:48] Ubit Umarov: on other commits i did change the parsing of UUI
[11:48] Ubit Umarov: some of those should be used in place of just test for uuid parse fail
[11:49] Ubit Umarov: those do look for the ';'
[11:49] Ubit Umarov: but hard to find all the spots where that is now
[11:49] Vincent Sylvester: A lot of UUI parsing is done just to get one aspect of it, rarely does it use all data that returns
[11:49] Ubit Umarov: and can be on external modules
[11:50] Ubit Umarov: so, guess the few ns waste is here to stay :)
[11:50] Ubit Umarov: on osUTF8 tryparse, i do not test for end of string
[11:50] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: :)
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: currently on used on assets gather like getting uuids on notecards and scripts
[11:51] Ubit Umarov: only..
[11:52] Ubit Umarov: there those ns do get a lot of multiplication :)
[11:52] Vincent Sylvester: It's all small drops, but adds up if you compare major versions
[11:53] Ubit Umarov: i do hope so :)
[11:53] Vincent Sylvester: I'm sure going back to 8.x we'd feel the difference
[11:53] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: All the ns savings will add up.
[11:54] Vincent Sylvester: Remains to be seen if there is anything underneath making an impact, newer mono versions run slightly faster as well
[11:54] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: We are almost at the top of the hour once more. Let's hope that osgrid is up and running again by this time next week.
[11:55] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Before we wrap things up I extend a thank you to Vincent for bringing the assortment of donuts, and snack cakes. :)
[11:56] Ubit Umarov: yeha they do look good
[11:56] Vincent Sylvester: Maybe some other grids are interested in hosting a meeting or two, get some diversity and a change of wallpaper once in a while
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: well thing is that we wait till monday to have osg back
[11:57] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Vincent, we will need to announce the location at the meeting prior to a location change to avoid losing a lot of people.
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: so a bit on top to talk with other grid
[11:57] Ubit Umarov: and yes, we lost several ppl that usual does attend
[11:58] Ubit Umarov: so the emails and site are not getting through
[11:58] Vincent Sylvester: Getting people to read is notoriously difficult, trust me, I been trying that for years, it's just a never-ending battle
[11:58] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: I was in Kitely earlier and I think I saw Selby login but I didn't get a chance to mention this location to him.
[11:58] Ubit Umarov: but our meeting should really be around the HGverse
[11:58] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Vincent, you need to put "Don't read this message" in the subject line. ;)
[11:59] Vincent Sylvester: I'm experimenting with modals lately, even added them to ossl
[11:59] Vincent Sylvester: A true modal you can't do anything until you click the button, that might finally work
[12:01] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: One can only hope.
[12:01] Ubit Umarov: oh you did cut the grass so it reads opensim, out there :)
[12:01] Ubit Umarov: even looks like a 2 line LCD on map :)
[12:01] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: It was like that last week, Ubit.
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: i didn't look
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: had the minimap 2 tiny
[12:02] Vincent Sylvester: I added some plants, new floor, the network stats board, some grass and some details, didn't want to overload the region with tons of mesh
[12:02] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: It is done in with short hedges.
[12:02] Vincent Sylvester: Fancy maptiles make that possible hehe
[12:02] Ubit Umarov: yeha a meetings place should ne light
[12:03] Ubit Umarov: yeah a meetings place should be light... even ;)
[12:04] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: You've said that before. You didn't like meeting at Wright Plaza, IIRC.
[12:05] Vincent Sylvester: Last I was on that region it had so much stuff on it, it never actually finished loading it all
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: well that is a HUGE region
[12:05] Ubit Umarov: ofc not
[12:05] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Ubit, before you log out if you send me an NC with the first half the meeting I can include that text when I post the log to the wiki.
[12:06] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: Have the clocks changed in Europe?
[12:06] Vincent Sylvester: Yep
[12:06] Ubit Umarov: think we told nothing useful for a meeting
[12:06] Andrew.Hellershanks @tanglegrid.net:8002: ok. Once we get back to meeting in osgrid we should have a full complement of our regular attendees.
