[11:06] Richardus Raymaker: hi andrew
[11:06] Connecting to in-world Voice Chat...
[11:06] Connected
[11:06] Andrew Hellershanks: hey, Richardus
[11:06] Justin Clark-Casey: hi folks
[11:06] Andrew Hellershanks: Hey, Justin
[11:07] dan banner: hey justin
[11:07] Andrew Hellershanks is Online
[11:07] logger sewell: Hey Andrew and Justin
[11:07] Andrew Hellershanks: My problem with inbound data from llHTTPRequest was fixed this past week.
[11:07] Mata Hari: hi Justin
[11:07] Sarah Kline: hi justin
[11:07] Andrew Hellershanks: The next part of it (that I don't personally need right now) is figuring out how to test whether remote_data events can be triggered from offworld.
[11:08] Richardus Raymaker: hi justin
[11:08] Justin Clark-Casey: neb is coming btw he is just hooking up his laptop
[11:08] stiofain nbmcmedia: hi folks
[11:09] Justin Clark-Casey: hi stiofain
[11:09] dan banner: hey stio
[11:09] Richardus Raymaker: hi stiofan
[11:09] Andrew Hellershanks: Welcome, stiofan
[11:09] Andrew Hellershanks: +i
[11:10] Richardus Raymaker: hopefull he hooks it wired..
[11:10] Justin Clark-Casey: how are folks today? Any pressing issues?
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi is Online
[11:11] Kayaker Magic: I want to thank you for fixing move-a-seated-avatar!
[11:11] Nebadon Izumi: jello
[11:11] logger sewell: Hi Neb
[11:11] Kayaker Magic: Tested it out recently, and it is working great!
[11:11] Richardus Raymaker: hi neb
[11:11] vegaslon plutonian: patched all my current issues
[11:12] TBG Renfold: hmm tangerine.
[11:12] Andrew Hellershanks: Nothing pressing. I'm justing wondering if there is a special URL to passdata to inworld objects via remote_data events.
[11:12] Justin Clark-Casey: kayaker: no worries - that fix was someone else's - I just did a few tweaks
[11:12] Justin Clark-Casey: can't remember who now
[11:13] stiofain nbmcmedia: was there a decision made about allowing building below z=0 with bullet sim?
[11:13] vegaslon plutonian: that is in master now
[11:13] vegaslon plutonian: he dropped it to below 400 or something
[11:13] Justin Clark-Casey: answer was yes, but that may not be resolved yet
[11:14] Justin Clark-Casey: there are still issues with teleporting below z ==0, so those have been around for ages if not for ever
[11:14] Justin Clark-Casey: shouldn't be super difficult to fix, probably means making sure we only check terrain height instead of z>=0 in some places
[11:15] Mata Hari: if only we could get seated avi to not drop through the floor half the time when they stand up again.... :p
[11:15] Nebadon Izumi: make your chairs phantom :P
[11:16] Mata Hari: still doesn't work Neb
[11:16] Justin Clark-Casey: I must admit, had not heard of that before
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: hmm it should
[11:16] Mata Hari: make a beach towel and make it phantom, then sit it on a mesh beach
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: ah ya
[11:16] Mata Hari: lie down, the stand up again
[11:16] Nebadon Izumi: laying on floor is different story
[11:16] stiofain nbmcmedia: good news i thought wwas gonna have to "raise the titanic "
[11:16] Mata Hari: plument through mesh beach/////
[11:17] Justin Clark-Casey: stiofain. Yeah, I think z < 0 is useful for many things
[11:17] Andrew Hellershanks: Might be more of a mesh issue
[11:17] Justin Clark-Casey: hopefully won't cause too many problems in the future
[11:17] Mata Hari: happens with prims too
[11:17] Mata Hari: never happens with terrain (or never to me, anyway)
[11:17] TBG Renfold: I had a the experience of my av going down to ground level when I sat on a prim around 1000 meters up
[11:17] Nebadon Izumi: ya im not surprised it happens when you are very close to a prim plane
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: that might even happen in SL
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: with mesh floor
[11:18] TBG Renfold: without scripting
[11:18] Justin Clark-Casey: TBG: curious. which phys engine?
[11:18] TBG Renfold: bullet
[11:18] Mata Hari: both
[11:18] Justin Clark-Casey: yeah, there used to be a bug where on teleport you would fall through a very thin floor
[11:18] Justin Clark-Casey: which I 'fixed' by making teleport point slightly higher, if I recall
[11:18] Mata Hari: unfortunately you can't do that with sitting on prims
[11:18] Nebadon Izumi: ya I do not think we stand avatars up correctly
[11:18] Justin Clark-Casey: possibly one could play around slightly with the stand height
[11:19] Justin Clark-Casey: I did make some changes which I thought brought into line with sl, but maybe not?
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: you could script it to push avatar up when you stand
[11:19] Sarah Kline: I made an animation and I got origin wrong way round and it falls through floor when it gets up
[11:19] Mata Hari: I tried making the towel with a prim set high above it that you sit on but placing a very negative sittTarget on it
[11:19] TBG Renfold: off the top of my head the prim is at least 2 to 3 meters thick... could be wrong, forgot the dimensions at this time
[11:19] Nebadon Izumi: i do that with my car alarm
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: it shoots you up like 50m in air lol
[11:20] Kayaker Magic: we need a function: llStandTarget -- where to put the avatar when s/he stands up
[11:20] Andrew Hellershanks: :)
[11:20] TBG Renfold: lol
[11:20] Mata Hari: but that didn't work....seems to be based on av center *including animation + sittarget offset* as the starting point for standing
[11:20]  Mata Hari: or osStandOffset()
[11:20] Nebadon Izumi: ya it will be hard to fix on thin mesh planes
[11:20] vegaslon plutonian: could change the position of the avatar right before you unsit them
[11:21] Justin Clark-Casey: it could be something to do with physics av capsules as well
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: ya
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: thats what I was thinking
[11:21] Mata Hari: yes, but no way to do it if they click "stand" on viewer
[11:21] Sarah Kline: at least better than jumping up and hovering above seat arms and legs flailing
[11:21] Dahlia Trimble is Online
[11:21] Kayaker Magic: Where an avatar goes on standing up has been difficult in SL since the begining
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: you could use change event
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: so when avatar stands it detects their uuid and does a slight push on Z
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: i have a chair that does some of the work for you
[11:21] Nebadon Izumi: 1 sec
[11:21] Mata Hari: I do that with anything that has a dialog "stand" in it....I use the now-working llSetPrimParamsFast() to move them up 0.5m in z and then unsit
[11:22] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: How about placing a transparent prim under the object that is being sat on?
[11:22] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): started

[11:22] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Hello Nebadon Izumi, enjoy your sit..
[11:22] Kayaker Magic: Standing off a stool is easy!
[11:22] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Goodbye..
[11:22] Kayaker Magic: you were already pretty high!
[11:23] Mata Hari: now put that in a beach towel and lie on the ground
[11:23] dan banner: enthusiastic standing
[11:23] Richardus Raymaker: i think it would be beter if the unsit makes sure the avatar jump a little bit up before it lands
[11:23] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): started
[11:23] Mata Hari: how hard would a osStandTarget() be (even if it just takes an integer +/-z value)?
[11:23] Kayaker Magic: You can make standing smoother by having large ease-out numbers on your animations.
[11:23] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Hello Nebadon Izumi, enjoy your sit..
[11:23] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Goodbye..
[11:24] TBG Renfold: just to check, make sure it's viewer side... is Andrew a puff of smoke to anyone else?
[11:24] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Hello Nebadon Izumi, enjoy your sit..
[11:24] Richardus Raymaker: osstandtarget not a solution
[11:24] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Goodbye..

[11:24] TBG Renfold: thanks :)
[11:25] Mata Hari: Neb....sink your seat down to floor level and try it
[11:25] Sarah Kline: lol it works fine in osg

[11:26] Richardus Raymaker: hi dahlia
[11:26] Mata Hari: I notice Diva has made a few HG-related commits recently....any idea if she it intending to fix the very broken HG friends creation?

[11:27] Sarah Kline: not persistant?
[11:27] dan banner: i wonder how i have HG friends that show on/off line?

[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:29] Richardus Raymaker: rocket chair ?
[11:29] Justin Clark-Casey: might be worth bringing to Oren's attention too since he has been looking at HG issues
[11:29] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.4 (w/sit): Hello Nebadon Izumi, enjoy your sit..
[11:29] TBG Renfold: I agree, I'd llOwner or llIM most of that :P

[11:29] Nebadon Izumi: interesting
[11:30] Nebadon Izumi: pushing me wrong direction

[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: ok take a copy of this stool
[11:32] Mata Hari: kk...well if anyone sees him perhaps they could think to mention it to him as something that might be worth having a look at
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: if you want sit with upward thrust on stand
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: should solve the problem of sinking through
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: just play with the #'s

[11:32] Arielle Popstar: is Diva not doing any more on HG?
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: she is
[11:32] Mata Hari: think Diva has just been very very busy
[11:32] Nebadon Izumi: starting soon infact
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: she was writing a book, and is finally done that now
[11:33] Dahlia Trimble: she's busy, works on HG when she gets a chance
[11:33] Nebadon Izumi: so she will be back working on HG soon

[11:34] Nebs Metal Bar Stool v1.5 (w/sit & launch): Goodbye..
[11:34] Arielle Popstar: is there any plans to fix Tp's within Mega's?
[11:34] Richardus Raymaker: <bar stool> decide what you want ! sit or stay ! :)
[11:36] Richardus Raymaker: in what way its broken ?
[11:37] Kayaker Magic: Without knowing, I would guess you can only TP to the first 256x256 m of a mega
[11:37] Kayaker Magic: That's how most other things fail to work in a megA
[11:37] Super Collider v2.1b whispers: Super Collider commands: collide on, collide off
[11:37] Arielle Popstar: mantis 7036
[11:37] Nebadon Izumi: collide on
[11:37] Super Collider v2.1b Online.
[11:38] Nebadon Izumi: heh man i wish that worked
[11:39] Arielle Popstar: http://opensimulator.org/mantis/view.php?id=7036
[11:40] Nebadon Izumi: I will be back in the US for next meeting
[11:40] Nebadon Izumi: my last week in Sweden
[11:41] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: Are you glad?
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: ya I guess will be nice to be home in my own bed :)
[11:41] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: :)
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: instead of on the floor at wright plaza
[11:41] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:41] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: haha
[11:42] TBG Renfold: looks like you need a bed to strap you down!
[11:42] Nebadon Izumi: lol
[11:42] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: have you been involved in the modling of the city, o r just the training?
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: both
[11:43] Kayaker Magic: When is the new 0.8 elease likely to happen?
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: several cities actually
[11:43] Kayaker Magic: release
[11:43] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: are they putting it online?
[11:43] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: << public access
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: not sure we have an exact time frame Kayaker
[11:43] Nebadon Izumi: no it probably wont be fully public access
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: though maybe at some point we might put parts of them online for public to see
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: the entire model is quite large
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: its the equivalent of 135 regions
[11:44] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: well, it's pretty col that they are finding a good use of the tech.
[11:44] Richardus Raymaker: eep 15 regions. thats a pile of servers
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: I should have some videos soon that everyone can see
[11:44] Richardus Raymaker: or 1 big server
[11:44] Nebadon Izumi: its a big server
[11:44] Richardus Raymaker: 135
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: 8 core i7-920 with 48gb ram
[11:45] Richardus Raymaker: memory sounds a bit low. lol
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: its fine
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: there is plenty of free memory
[11:45] Andrew Hellershanks: I was thinking that.
[11:45] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: you can populate a server with many regions, depending on the visitors you'll be supporting
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: with var regions it doesnt take as much resources
[11:45] Nebadon Izumi: which is really nice
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: ya there will really never be more than like 10-12 avatars at most
[11:46] Cuteulala Artis is Online
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: I was playing with an Oculus Rift today
[11:46] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: should purr alnog :)
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: that was fun
[11:46] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: cool
[11:46] Nebadon Izumi: though i did start feeling queezy after about 30 minutes
[11:46] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: did it make you dizzy or sick?
[11:47] BlueWall.Slade @gateway.bluewallvirtual.net:8002: haa
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: not as bad as I thought
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: interestingly the real oculus demos didnt make me sick at all
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: either did the youtube occulus videos
[11:47] Richardus Raymaker: its the developer 1 or developer 2 version ?>
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: but the CtrlAlt Viewer made me feel sick within about 5 minutes
[11:47] Nebadon Izumi: its the Dev 1 version
[11:48] Kayaker Magic: Dev 2 is July delivery
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: I think the SL oculus support needs a lot of work
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: compared to the official demos ts definitely not as good
[11:48] Nebadon Izumi: though it is very impressive overall
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: the Youtube videos were the most surprising
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: even though there was no head tracking with that
[11:49] TBG Renfold: whilst were on a sub topic of viewers, anyone tried SL 2 go?
[11:49] Nebadon Izumi: it really feels extremely different than anything you can imagine
[11:49] Kayaker Magic: Ha! could not get it to go to OSgrid.
[11:50] dan banner: not suprising, i believe its based on LL viewer
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: what is SL2GO
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: is that the streaming service thing
[11:50] Nebadon Izumi: that can stream to tablets?
[11:50] TBG Renfold: cloud based viewer
[11:50] dan banner: onlive streaming for sl
[11:50] TBG Renfold: yeah
[11:50] Mata Hari: I wonder if Oren could have a look at the inventory fetch/cloud login issues before 0.8 is released....would be nice for users not to have to log in to Plaza to have a reasonable chance of not getting locked up
[11:50] Kayaker Magic: charge by the minute
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: hah ya that will not work with opensim probably ever
[11:51] Richardus Raymaker: yes nebadon. thats that expensive remote desktop viewer idea. i just call it that way
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: however there may be hope at some point to use the Nvidia streaming stuff
[11:51] dan banner: they actually dropped the pricing
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: where you could stream to like an Nvidia Shield
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: or other tablet devices
[11:51] dan banner: $10/mo or $1/hr now
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: jeez
[11:51] Richardus Raymaker: for windows desktop to ?
[11:51] TBG Renfold: I took a look at gaminganywhere.org which is a small open source streamer, not bad for how young it is
[11:51] Nebadon Izumi: yes
[11:52] Simulator Version v0.5 shouts: OpenSim 0.8.0 Dev ef26279: 2014-05-06 09:43:07 +0300 (Unix/Mono)
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: Nvidia has some technology to stream to the Nvidia Sheild
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: which is Android based
[11:52] Nebadon Izumi: you can play games on your PC through the shield
